The Philadelphia 76ers will open up their 2012-2013 NBA Preseason against the Orlando Magic on Oct. 11th.

This will be one of seven preseason games the Sixers will play before their home and regular season opener on Oct. 31st against former teammate Andre Iguodala and the Denver Nuggets.

The team’s new star, Andrew Bynum, will sit out the entire preseason after he had a successful knee procedure in Germany a few weeks ago in September.

The Sixers announced earlier in the week that they are just resting Bynum, and his knees are fine.

Also, they’re optimistic that he will be ready for the team’s 2012-2013 season opener.

Sixers preseason schedule: Oct. 11th @ Orlando, Oct. 13th vs. Brooklyn, Oct. 15th vs. Boston, Oct. 17th vs. Cleveland, Oct. 19th @ Brooklyn, Oct. 21st @ Boston, Oct. 22nd vs. New York.
