The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Point Guard Trey Burke to a one-year deal. Burke was one of the best remaining free agents available and will most likely be the 76ers’ backup Point Guard.

According to Shams Charania,  Trey Burke will be joining the 76ers on a one-year deal. Burke is a great signing for the Sixers and will fight with Raul Neto and Shake Milton for backup Point Guard minutes.

Burke is a 6-year NBA veteran and has averaged 10.9 points per game over his career so far. The former 9th overall pick out of Michigan last played with the Dallas Mavericks.

Philadelphia was in need of some depth at the Point Guard position behind Ben Simmons. Burke is a proven scorer, and can shoot the three, he shot 35% from three last year. Playmaking is another thing Burke brings to the table, as he averaged 5.7 assists his rookie year and has averaged 3.6 assists per game throughout his entire career.

Trey will certainly be a scoring boost off of the bench. He can score in volume in limited minutes. He averaged 10.9 points per game last year in just 19.4 minutes per game.
