With the recent transactions as well as the NBA Draft, the 76ers have had tremendous amounts of turnover with their roster.

Because of the many new faces on the roster, the lineup will be changing tremendously. As it stands, it is unclear if this current roster will be the opening day roster or if there will be more moves made.

If it is, we can try to predict who should be in the Sixers’ starting rotation based on the current lineup.

Let’s get the obvious ones out of the way, Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Tobias Harris will be in the Sixers’ starting lineup, most likely playing point guard, center, and power forward respectfully.

The major new components come in the form of the wing players. Now it is entirely possible that we see Ben playing more off the ball in more of a power forward/point forward role, but for the sake of this article, we’ll be considering him the point guard. If that former scenario were to come to fruition, we would also see Tobias move to small forward which would make way for two traditional guards to enter the rotation. But again, we will look at what two wing players will enter the rotation based on Ben Simmons being the primary ball-handler.

Those qualifiers out of the way, let’s now look at who should step in. The three most obvious choices seem to be the right ones. The two remaining spots should go to some combination of Danny Green, Matisse Thybulle, Shake Milton, or Furkan Korkmaz. The truth of the matter is, it could truly depend on the matchups or who has the hot hand for who gets the start each game. If the Sixers need even more defense, Matisse and Green would probably be the choices to start.

If the Sixers could get away with more shooting and less defense, it could be Milton and Korkmaz who get the start.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Milton playing alongside Simmons, which was trialed last year before Ben’s injury, despite Milton being the most likely recipient of Ben’s backup minutes. There could also be several combinations where the Sixers may want to play a more fast-paced game which would benefit Milton and Matisse, or the inverse for Korkmaz and Green.

It will truly depend on who the opponent is for the Sixers on a given night and how they want to utilize the players behind the four previously discussed to determine who the other two starters will be.

There may be a few players who carve out a definitive starting role for themselves, but it is more likely it will be an ever-changing starting lineup.

Who do you think should start for the Sixers?
