If you haven’t already, you will soon hear about the latest craze in the NBA community: NBA Top Shot. Created by Dapper Labs, NBA Top Shot is a platform in which people can buy and sell NBA moments in the form of NFTs, or Non-Fungible Tokens. Each moment has a limited serial number and thus creates value for collectors. This is a platform that operates through blockchain technology that allows the tracking of every purchase and sale of a particular NFT. Top Shot has been endorsed by several NBA players already, like Damion Lee, Tyrese Haliburton, Josh Hart and Terrence Ross. It’s only a matter of time until a big name NBA player endorses the platform and it really blows up. So what moments are available for purchase right now from our 76ers? There are some pretty good ones available, and some may be undervalued in the market right now.

Joel Embiid Through the Legs Assist: Oct 28, 2019

Right now, the most valuable 76ers Top Shot moment is a Joel Embiid assist against the Atlanta Hawks from 2019. This is a play I’m sure many of you remember, with Embiid momentarily slipping, and then finding Ben Simmons through his legs for the assist. This particular moment is a Holo edition, and is numbered to only 50. The lowest ask at the moment is $75,000!

Ben Simmons Game Tying Layup vs Heat: Dec 28, 2019

This is Ben Simmons’ most valuable moment on top shot right now. The layup against the Heat off a Josh Richardson missed free throw last season. The ball just barely scraped the side of the rim before Simmons flew in and put it back up and in for the tie. The Sixers unfortunately lost that game in overtime, but that play was one of the smartest and most exciting of last season. This is also a Holo moment that’s numbered to 50, and the lowest ask is currently at $30,000.

Michael Carter-Williams Dunk vs Heat: Oct 30, 2013

Michael Carter-Williams had one of the most impressive debuts in NBA History. He nearly had a quadruple double in that game as he lead the young 76ers to a victory over the Heat’s big 3. This moment is Carter-Williams first NBA bucket after stripping Lebron James and taking the ball the length of the floor for the slam. One of my favorite moments of recent memory, this is the beauty of NBA top shot. There’s a certain nostalgia that can’t be replicated in standard NBA trading cards. This is one of the first cards minted in the “Run It Back” set that NBA top shot has started. It’s numbered to 275 and currently has a low ask of $2,999.

Tobias Harris Monster Dunk vs Clippers: Feb 11, 2020

This was an electric play last season where Tobias threw it down over Rodney McGruder and Montrezl Harrell. Harris doesn’t typically go at the rim with such authority, so this specific moment stands out from last season, and thus will run you $1,590. It’s a Metallic Gold Limited Edition (MGLE), numbered to 299.

One of the most exciting pieces of news in recent days is that “Run It Back 2” is set to release in the near future. More throwback moments from the years of 2005-2010 will be coming to packs and it’s already been announced that some of the players involved in this set are Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson. The Answer is coming to NBA Top Shot! This will no doubt be one of the most expensive moments on the market, but I’m excited to see which specific moment they choose.

NBA Top Shot is a fun community for NBA fans and players to collect and trade their favorite moments from their favorite players. There is so much excitement about the platform across the league, and as we watch the rest of this season we can only hope that our Sixers create lots of Top Shot worthy moments!
