A busy April is in the Union’s future as the club’s Schedule to Start the 2021 MLS Season is released.

Today the MLS announced the dates for every team’s home opener. Just like in past years, the Union will start the campaign with a tough road test.

The Union will kick off their 2021 MLS Season against the 2020 MLS Cup Champions the Columbus Crew, in Columbus. If you’re paying attention, a bit of an unfair stat towards the Union, this will be the 4th straight game a Union V Crew match will be played in Columbus dating back to 2019. The match takes place just 4 days after the second leg of the CCL Round of 16 against Deportivo Saprissa.

The Union will have their home opener on April 24 against Inter Miami FC in Subaru Park.

The Union knew this would be a crowded season to start the year. After the Club begins their first leg of the CCL Round of 16, they have 3 games in 10 days. It will be a big test so early in the season when players are not as conditioned as they would be deep into a season. If the Union make a run deep into the CCL, the schedule will only get more crowded.
