Thybulle The Missing Link?

The 76ers are interested in Bradley Beal. Shocking! The organization has been rumored to be seeking a Beal acquisition since Ben Simmons let it be known that he wants out of Philly. With Beal being in the last year of his contract and the Wizards falling out of playoff contention the Sixers might get their wish.

The Wizards asking price is seemingly more than just Ben Simmons. What package the Wizards are asking for isn’t clear. Although reports have surfaced that the Sixers are unwilling to include Maxey or Thybulle. The inclusion of Maxey would be absurd, it’s a nonstarter.

Now Thybulle, if he is a potential holdup in trade talks for Beal the Sixers are making a mistake. Of course we’re talking about arguably the best wing defender in the NBA. From an offensive standpoint he’s far from league average. In trading Simmons, Thybulle, and whatever inclusion of draft picks the team would only be losing a defensive standout. Simmons is a wash because he doesn’t suit up and the draft picks aren’t here yet. Essentially all the Sixers would be losing for one of the top scorers in the NBA is a role player in Thybulle. Let’s hope Thybulle isn’t a deal breaker for the Sixers. Also, let’s pray that he is the missing piece that the Wizards covet.
