Below is what the Eagles starting Offence & Depth looked like at the start of the 2021 season:

QB: Jalen Hurts > Joe Flacco
WR1: DeVonta Smith > Travis Fulgham
WR2: Jalen Reagor > Quez Watkins
WR3: Greg Ward > J.J. Arcega-Whiteside
TE: Zach Ertz > Dallas Goedert
RB: Miles Sanders > Boston Scotts > Jordan Howard
LT: Andre Dillard/Jordan Mailata
LG: Isaac Seumalo > Sua Opeta
C: Jason Kelce > Nate Herbig
RG: Brandon Brooks > Matt Pryor
RT: Lane Johnson > Jack Driscoll

Now there’s been some big changes to the Eagles offence since last season, including:

– Ertz was traded to the Cardinals for CB Tay Gowan and a 5th round pick
– Matt Pryor was sent to the Colts for a 6th round pick
– Travis Fulgham was released after 5 weeks on the Practice Squad
– Brandon Brooks retired after the 2021 season
– Landon Dickerson emerged as a strong and brilliant 2nd round pick despite his worrisome injury history
– Nate Herbig was recently released by the team in hopes to have an opportunity at a starting position
– Jordan Mailata proved to be the starting LT of the future

The Eagles seemed to hit home-run after home-run during the off-season and the Draft. If no other moves are made by the time Week 1 rolls around in September, the Eagles will be taking the field with this starting offence:

QB: Jalen Hurts > Gardner Minshew > Carson Strong
WR1: A.J. Brown > Zach Pascal
WR2: DeVonta Smith > Jalen Reagor
WR3: Quez Watkins > Greg Ward
TE: Dallas Goedert > Jack Stoll
RB: Miles Sanders > Boston Scott > Kenneth Gainwell
LT: Jordan Mailata > Andre Dillard
LG: Landon Dickerson > Sua Opeta
C: Jason Kelce > Cam Jurgens
RG: Isaac Seumalo > Kayode Awosika
RT: Lane Johnson > Jack Driscoll

When Eagles QB1 spoke with the media Wednesday morning, he left some promising words for Eagles fans

“I think there’s a lot to look forward to”

As the Eagles will be approaching the 2022 season with Jalen Hurts having the same coach for the first time since High School. Head Coach Nick Sirianni & Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen will be welcoming back an Eagles offence that was able to make the playoffs, except this year they’ve made some additions.

Welcoming Sirianni’s ‘Guy’ WR Zach Pascal from the Indianapolis Colts. Was a huge welcome to the Eagles offence as it strengthened the Eagles WR depth beyond DeVonta Smith backed by Jalen Reagor & Greg Ward. Shockingly during last weeks draft, the Eagles further addressed the position and traded #18 and #101 to the Titans to land A.J. Brown (and a 4 year, $100M extension). With Jalen Hurts being united with former Alabama teammate DeVonta smith and almost Alabama teammate A.J. Brown, Philadelphia’s pass game could become an additional threat to a 26.11 point per game offence that already saw a strong run game that averaged 32.35 rushes per game and went from #14 to #1 in 8 weeks.

This upgraded roster will surely see many improvements from last season’s 9-8 team. There’s expectations for everyone now that we know what the Eagles are capable of.

2022 is going to be one hell of a season.

Go Birds.
