If you missed yesterday’s extravaganza. After a week of fake leaks from several different twitter accounts. The NFL announced the schedule for all 32 teams.

Preseason

If you’re someone who saves the date for the first preseason game. The 3 preseason matchups are posted below. Starting with the New York Jets coming to Philly to kick off the eagles first preseason match.

Preseason always means that the football season has arrived and is finally right around the corner, until we get what I consider to be the best 23 weeks of the year. Whether or not you’re suited up for preseason. Getting to watch midnight green take the field means that the hype and expectations can finally begin.

If you’re one to travel with the team, a weekend trip down to Miami might be the game for you to follow during the preseason for a nice and sunny weekend. But if you’re someone like me. You’ll be saving the date for several big regular season games.

Regular Season

What everyone’s been waiting for. Finally hearing the announcement of what order the Eagles would end up playing their 2022 schedule was posted for all to see last night. If you missed the announcement the Eagles got the perfect grid layout ready to go for everyone to save.

The biggest games to look out for before the Bye Week are going to be the Vikings, Jaguars and Cardinals. Outside of the obvious division matchups with the Commanders and Cowboys, here’s why the previous 3 matchups will mean something to the Eagles

Vikings:

The Vikings have had recurring seasons that saw them miss the playoffs after drafting star Receiver Justin Jefferson shortly after the Eagles selected Jalen Reagor. This will be the first time since that infamous draft day. And much like the matchups against the Seahawks in years past, the Eagles will get to experience what missing out on Jefferson truly means. Being the home opener, expect a barnburner when this new Eagles team takes the Linc for the first time.

Jaguars:

After having a very… disappointing 2021 season that saw the Jags receive the first overall pick for the 2nd year in a row. The Jaguars moved on from Urban Meyer a lot faster than most would’ve assumed. Luckily the Jaguars 2022 Head Coach is Eagles Super Bowl Champion Head Coach Doug Pederson. It will be the first time Dougie P is working with a team since getting let go from the Eagles after an abysmal 2020 season. Eagles fans won’t have to wait long for this matchup. as the Jags come to town in Week 4.

Cardinals:

The Cardinals had a very concerning off-season. With rumors and worries about whether QB1 Kyler Murray wanted to stay with the team. While finding out just before Draft Day that WR1 DeAndre Hopkins was getting suspended for 6 weeks due to PEDs. Eagles fans should have kept their fingers crossed that this game happened before week 6, and luckily the NFL gifted this matchup to be in week 5, just short of the WR’s return. Sure the Cardinals traded Pick #23 for Hollywood Brown, but Hopkins is a top Receiver in the league and his presence will surely be missed on the Arizona offence.

What games are you looking forward to this season Eagles fans? A weekend trip to Arizona to enjoy what’s left of the heat in October? Or the return of former QB1 Carson Wentz during the Week 10 matchup against the Commanders. This will be an exciting year for the Eagles, who have the 3rd easiest schedule across the entire league and made some major additions to both the offence and defence that could make some noise this year.

Get ready Eagles fan.

The regular season kicks off with a rematch against the Detroit Lions on September 11th. Where will you be sitting when the game starts?

Go Birds.
