While some of you might be waiting for the September 11th Week 1 game against the Lions. Or perhaps the home opener against the Vikings. However, I’ve got a different date in mind.
The Return to Philadelphia
On October 2nd, We’ll be attending our third Eagles game – against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Super Bowl Champion Doug Pederson’s return to Philadelphia since the end of the 2020 season. Our first game since the October 6th, 2019 Blowout against the Jets. It was our first time in Philly after spending most of the week prior in New York, and we’re excited to return to the City of Brotherly Love. Our first Eagles & NFL game was the 2018 playoff push against the Rams – when Nick Foles returned to the starting position. Sometimes, these games feel like they were ages ago, and rightfully so. As Doug Pederson now coaches the Jaguars, and Jalen Hurts is QB1.
We had Cheesesteaks. We got to cheer on the Eagles. but I’m eager to get back to Philly with more time to tour around. Spending the weekend in the city was great, however we wish we had more time in town to do more. That just means another trip was needed.
This is where I ask for your help, Philadelphia. We’re in town for 5 full days. With the Game on the 2nd, I’m looking for the locals tips. Greatest places to eat? Best drinks? Best beer? Things we NEED to see. things we NEED to do! We have our own running list of things we’ve found online that we’d definitely like to hit up. But I want the local suggestions. We hit up the popular destinations the first time around like the Rocky Steps, Liberty Bell and some much deserved Pat’s and Geno’s after watching the incredible 31-6 Blowout at the Linc.
I’ve got a post on Twitter below, Tell me something we should do! We’re staying in the Center City area and are open to just about anything the city has to offer.
I’m in Philly exactly 7 weeks from today!
