There’s no question about the chemistry Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown share. The two are best friends and have been for quite some time. On the football field that chemistry is starting to show, and it can be something special for the Eagles in 2022.

If training camp is any indication, Brown will be Jalen’s favorite target all year long. Brown has been a target machine early on in training camp. Brown and Goedert have been receiving most targets, with DeVonta following behind. With how much the Eagles traded and then how much money they gave Brown, you can see they want to give A.J. the ball as much as possible.

Reports early on from camp say Brown looks really good. He’s been making contested catches all over the field in tight coverage. The Eagles have been looking for a strong physical receiver to make contested catches and now have one of the best in Brown. No play may be a better example than at the Eagles’ open practice last Sunday.

In 11 on 11 at the Eagles open practice, Hurts hit Brown for a 30-yard TD that had the crowd on their feet. James Bradberry had exceptional coverage but Brown was able to haul in the remarkable catch. Eagles fans can get used to seeing plays like from #1 and #11.

When the Eagles traded for Brown back in April we all had visions of what this offense could be like with a top receiver like him. As training camp progresses on we get to see more and more what this offense will look like with the major new addition. The connection between Hurts and Brown is only going to continue to build, and that is a scary sight for opposing defenses.

The Hurts to Brown connection is something we will see a lot this year. The two share a chemistry on and off the field that can’t be replicated. Brown wasn’t targeted in the preseason opener, but that isn’t too big of a deal. It is only a matter of time before we see this connection in meaningful football games.
