The NFL playoff picture is beginning to take shape as the Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket en route to Super Bowl 57 first. However, they’re not the only NFC East team in the current playoff picture. Three teams – the Eagles, Cowboys and Commanders – sit comfortably in this year’s playoff race.
Now as we come down the wire, the NFC East standings will begin to take shape as we see the season wrap up with divisional matchups.
New York Giants: Not all hope is lost
Bad news: Giants lost to the Eagles, 48-22. Good news: The Eagles have beaten up just about all their opponents this year. The Giants are still on the outside looking in so they still have a chance at making the playoffs.
Dallas Cowboys: Scrape together a comeback
The Dallas Cowboys, who ESPN has a better shot at making the Super Bowl than the Philadelphia Eagles, had a fourth-quarter comeback against the Houston Texans who currently have one win this season. With the Cowboys 27-23 win, they are still very much in the fight for high playoff rankings – if not the first seed.
Washington Commanders: Sit back and make the playoffs
The Commanders can thank the Eagles for helping them make the playoffs on their week off. Now, it’s up to the Commanders to continue pushing in an attempt to officially make the playoffs. The Commanders play the Giants, who they played last week an tied 20-20.
Philadelphia Eagles: Flying into playoffs
The Eagles officially clinched a playoff berth on Sunday following a fantastic win against the New York Giants. In opposition to last year’s loss, the Eagles looked so much different this year. Jalen Hurts and Co. have been unstoppable on the ground and in the passing game.
