It is finally here. Tonight at 8:15 the Philadelphia Eagles will host the New York Giants in the Divisional Round. After having to sit and watch during Wild Card weekend, the Eagles will play their first game of the postseason.
With the Giants upset of the Minnesota Vikings it was known right away that the Eagles and Giants will be squaring off for a third time this season, this time a trip to the NFC Championship game is at stake.
The Eagles went 2-0 on the Giants this season but the Giants are coming off their best game yet. The Giants’ offense put up 431 yards against the Vikings and Daniel Jones played the best game of his career. The big question is, can he do it again?

The Eagles’ defense is a lot better than the Vikings and Jones shouldn’t have all day in the pocket like he did Sunday. The Eagles possess one of the best pass rushes in the NFL and will make Jones’ life a lot more difficult Saturday night. Jones looked sharp throwing the ball, but he’s not going against a bottom-tier pass-defense team. Pro Bowler Darius Slay and All-Pro James Bradberry will have the outsides locked up.
The last time these two teams met the Giants rested their starters and the Eagles used a very bland game plan for the return of Jalen Hurts. Now with what’s at stake, expect Nick Sirianni to really open up the playbook for Jalen Hurts. Another big boost to the Eagles’ offense is the return of All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson. Johnson will be playing hurt, but even with injuries, he’s still one of the best right tackles in football.
The anticipation and excitement are in the air as the Eagles begin their playoff journey that will hopefully end with another parade down Broad Street. A division rivalry to open the playoffs is a great way to kick things off in Philly and the Linc will be rocking at 8:15.
