The Philadelphia Eagles will be playing the San Francisco 49er’s tomorrow afternoon for the NFC Championship. This will be the Eagles toughest matchup of the year as the 49er’s are coming in hot off of 12 straight wins. The 49er’s have a  stacked squad on both sides of the ball, but if the Eagles can slow down these three players, they should be able to punch their ticket to the Superbowl.

George Kittle

George Kittle is having one of his best seasons in his career so far. It is very clear that he is Brock Purdys favorite target. Almost 25 percent of Kittles career touchdowns have come from Brock Purdy since he took over in week 14. He doesn’t have any touchdowns yet this postseason, but he is coming off a productive game against the cowboys, pulling in 5 catches for 95 yards. One of the bigger concerns about the Eagles defense is the middle of the field, so if they can make sure Kittle isn’t getting open all over the middle all day, then they should have a decent advantage over the 49er’s offense.

Fred Warner

Fred Warner could very well be the best linebacker in the NFL. He is extremely athletic, and is seems like he is constantly around the ball. He is coming off a season with 130 tackles, and a career best 10 passes defended. Last week against the Cowboys, Warner was on fire. He finished the game with 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 pass break up, and 1 interception. This will be an interesting guy for the Eagles to try to slow down and I am interested to see how they do it.

Nick Bosa

Nick Bosa is one of the best Pass Rushers in the league. He finished the regular season with 18.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 51 tackles. He is extremely quick off the edge, and Lane Johnson will be in for a tough, yet fun matchup. Lane Johnson is still hurt with a torn abductor, so it will be interesting to see if he will be able to contain Bosa. It is worth noting that the Eagles may try to slow him down by not blocking him at all, and just reading what he is doing to determine what they are going to do, similar to how they played Micah Parsons earlier in the season.

This will be the toughest matchup for The Birds so far, but if they can contain these 3 players, they will have a great chance at going to the Superbowl!
