While today may have been Opening Day for the MLB season.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman hasn’t kept quiet.

The Eagles addressed one of their biggest needs with another signing. Adding another name that the Eagles have signed to a 1-year deal including:
QB Marcus Mariota – $5,000,000
RB Rashaad Penny – $1,350,000
CB Greedy Williams – $1,350,000
S Terrell Edmunds – $2,000,000
S Justin Evans – $1,590,000
LB Nicholas Morrow – $1,155,000
The Eagles suffered a large blow to their defensive line this off-season. Losing All-Pro snub Javon Hargrave amongst the Free Agents that have moved on to new teams. There had yet to be a move for Hargrave’s replacement. While the expectations of Jordan Davis’ growth into a larger role could fill Hargraves spot, depth was required to fill the void of losing Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh.
With the draft still a month away, Jalen Carter’s name continues to appear. Whether or not the Eagles will draft another Georgia Bulldog in the 1st round is a question we won’t have a guaranteed answer to. However it seems likely that the Eagles could spend one of their 1st round selections on a Defensive Lineman.
Kentavius Street
Street signed a 1-year deal, currently with an unknown value after having a 3.5 sack season with the New Orleans Saints.
Playing 518 snaps across 17 games last season, Street will be joining a Defensive Line with more depth than Cam Jordan, Marcus Davenport and Shy Tuttle.
Joining a defense that is coming off of a 70 sack season, don’t be surprised if Kentavius is able to take off on his 1-year prove it deal as an Eagle.
Howie Keeps Making Moves
It was clear GM Howie Roseman would keep the Eagles aggressive ahead of the 2023 Draft. Having the most difficult schedule in 2023 will prove a challenge if the Eagles want to return to Super Bowl 58, and if last year wasn’t obvious, this year should look to prove the same that Howie Roseman will make every move he can to get the Eagles back to the big game.
None of the Free Agents signed (besides re-signing the Eagles own) have received multi-year deals. Allowing the Eagles to stack some depth before the draft even started. With 6 picks in the upcoming draft, including 4 in the top 100. Philadelphia has managed to fill most of the holes in the roster.
A series of moves in the secondary, signing Greedy Williams, Terrell Edmunds and Justin Evans – Including a Bradberry and Slay extension, could be a good indicator the Eagles might not spend a 1st round pick on a defensive back like Christian Gonzalez or Devon Witherspoon.
While some might wish to see Bijan Robinson behind the Eagles offensive line, it also seems unlikely that Running Back be the 10th pick priority.
Howie Roseman still has time to make more moves before the Eagles take the stage with the 10th overall pick. Could Howie look to pull off another massive trade?
Go Birds.
