Less than a week from the draft, the Eagles are in a great spot. The Jalen Hurts extension just finished, and the deal is highly team friendly. Over the next two seasons, the Eagles are only taking a cap hit of $19.7 Million on Jalen Hurts’ contract. With this flexibility, it makes you wonder, are the Eagles done adding to the team?

Just like every off-season, every single player that could be available is rumored to go to the Eagles. This is nothing new, and this will happen all the time as long as Howie is the GM. This happens for good reason, though, because Howie usually does something to surprise everyone. This year, there are a few prominent names that are connected to the Eagles. Devin White, Budda Baker, Kevin Byard, and most recently, Derrick Henry have all been names that have been linked to the Birds. There are even some media personalities saying the Eagles should consider trading for DeAndre Hopkins. All of these players would make a significant impact on the team, and it’s not out of the question to be able to acquire any of these guys.

Most of the players mentioned above want to be paid, and the Eagles are in a good spot to do that. Devin White and Budda Baker might be asking for more than Howie is willing to give, but they may want to take less money to boost their odds of winning a Super Bowl. It is unlikely that it would take a first rounder to get any of these guys, but if it does, then the Eagles can send the 30th pick and still be able to hold onto 10.

The Eagles and Howie Roseman did a great job of leaving some financial space for the team to work with after the Hurts deal. It is not out of the question for them to add another top-notch player before or during the draft.
