There are still plenty of free agents on the market that the Eagles could be interested in signing. Although the Eagles’ starters are mainly established, they could still use some rotational and depth players.

Let’s take a look at three free agents the Eagles could be interested in signing before the season starts.

1) Adrian Amos

Adrian Amos would be a good veteran addition to a young and unproven safety room. The current safeties on the Eagles roster are Terrell Edmonds, K’Von Wallace, Sydney Brown, Reed Blankenship, and Justin Evans. There is no doubt the Eagles want Brown and Blankenship to be the future starters, but they still need some other guys to get in there and play too.

Adrian Amos would be a good addition to the locker room, and he could teach the young players a thing or two. He had 73 tackles, 5 passes defended, and 1 interception last year.

2) Matt Ioannidis

Matt Ioannidis is a DT that most recently played for the Panthers. Even though the Birds already have four defensive tackles that are pretty much locked to make the team, they could still use more rotational players. We saw last year that they wanted to use as many defensive linemen as possible to keep everyone fresh. He hasn’t had more than three sacks in each of the last three seasons, but he was still effective against the run.

He would fit well because a lot of the Eagles’ pass rush will be coming from the edge so that they could use a couple more run-stopping guys.

3) Byron Pringle

Byron Pringle is a speedy receiver who spent three seasons with the Chiefs before playing for the Bears last year. He would be a guy that would compete with Quez Watkins for the WR3 role. Pringle runs a 4.46 40-yard dash. Last year he only had 10 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

If the Eagles sign Pringle, he could very well be a camp body and practice squad player, but they should have someone come in to compete with Watkins this summer.

There are plenty of talented free agents left that the Eagles could sign.

We all know they aren’t strangers to adding to the roster close to the season opener, so there is a ton of time for them to bring in more guys.
