The Eagles and the Cowboys will finally play a healthy and meaningful game. Over the past few years, the games have either been played by backup QB’s, backup rosters, or without any importance. This week that finally changes.

Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott are going to play their first game against each other since 2021. That is the only time they have ever faced each other even though this is Jalen’s fourth season and Dak’s eighth. Last time the Eagles lost 41-21, but we can all clearly see the Eagles roster is 100X better than it was back then.

The Cowboys are coming in with a 5-2 record and the Eagles are 7-1. This game has huge implications. If the Eagles win, they will head into their bye week with an 8-1 record, being 3-0 in the division. This would be the best case scenario and would help the Eagles further cushion their lead in the division and conference. They would go into their bye with a 2 game lead over the 49er’s and Cowboys. That is extremely important because after the Eagles bye they have to face the gauntlet, and the more games they add to their lead before that, the better.

If the Cowboys win, they will be 6-2 and have a tie-breaker over the Eagles. They will move to 2-0 in the division and then will play the Giants next week. After that they play the Panthers, and then the Commanders. This means that if they beat the Eagles then they could quickly take over the lead in the division. The Eagles have a much harder schedule than the Cowboys, so a loss could be the start of a devastating turn of events. On the other hand, if the Eagles win then they can go into their bye with a solid division and conference lead, and they can ride that momentum into week 11 when they visit the Chiefs.

Tomorrow’s game is the most important game the Eagles will Play against the Cowboys in a few years. It is a must-win, and they should be able to do just that.
