The Eagles will face off against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. This will be their second matchup of the year and the Eagles are hoping to sweep Dallas for the first time since 2011. That’s not the only streak they’ll be looking to break. The Eagles haven’t won a game in Dallas since 2017. It’s time for the Eagles to end these streaks.

Coming off a game where we got destroyed against the 49ers, this is where we will get to see what kind of team the Eagles are. Can they come out and respond after getting punched in the mouth? They’re going to have to. Dallas has had an electric offense and the Eagles defense has looked pretty sorry against the Bills and 49ers. It is worth noting that the Eagles have had major disadvantages in terms of rest in their past three games.

The key to winning this game is going to be slowing down Dallas’s offense, and getting AJ Brown hot again. Jalen Hurts hasn’t looked great recently but he has been without one of his favorite weapons, Dallas Goedert, who is set to return Sunday night. When Hurts has Goedert this season, he has a 10% higher completion percentage, and a 13 point higher passer rating. This should also take some pressure off Brown and Smith since the Cowboys will have to respect the Eagles Tight End.

The Eagles defense looked lost against the 49ers, especially at linebacker. They since went out and signed Darius Leonard who should help boost the linebacker position. The Eagles defensive backs need to step up as well. They have consistently been the worst position group on the field this year, and now is the time to lock in. Hopefully they also worked on tackling this week.

It is time for the Eagles to take control and end these streaks. It feels like a tough task, but nothing that The Birds can’t handle.
