It’s last call for the regular season.

With League wide divisional matchups for Week 18, it’s time to win or go home for plenty of teams across the NFL, including:

Green Bay Packers
Seattle Seahawks
Minnesota Vikings
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New Orleans Saints
Atlanta Falcons
Pittsburgh Steelers
Indianapolis Colts
Buffalo Bills
Jacksonville Jaguars
Houston Texans

No playoff matchups are confirmed yet. But here is the clinched seeding:

NFC

  1. San Francisco 49ers

AFC

  1. Baltimore Ravens
  2. Kansas City Chiefs
  3. Cleveland Browns

Unfortunately for the Eagles, they blew their easiest shot at the 2nd or 3rd seed (as well as the NFC East title) in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals. With one game left to play, not only will the Eagles have to win if they hope to host a playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field. They’ll also need a little help from the Washington Commanders.

NFC East Sunday Slate

Both the Eagles @ Giants and Cowboys @ Commanders games will be played during the 4:25pm window. While nothing has been confirmed whether starters will play for any of the NFC East teams. You’d expect to see the Eagles at least attempt to beat the Giants for the 2nd time this season.

If the Cowboys don’t repeat their Week 18 collapse against the Commanders from last year. the Eagles could kiss the division title officially goodbye.

If the Eagles end up pulling their starters, as they should given the conditions of MetLife Stadium in what might be another rain or snow game for the Eagles. It’ll be time to look ahead as to where the birds will travel for Wildcard Weekend.

Most Likely Opponent

There’s nothing confirmed for an NFC South Champion. With the Buccaneers playing the Panthers, and the Falcons against the Saints. Anything could happen for the 4th seed as all it takes is a Buccaneers loss for the Falcons or Saints to host a playoff game.

As the current 5th seed. The Eagles will visit the winner of the NFC South.

Would you rather they visit the Buccaneers? Who they’ve already beaten 25-11 this season?
Or would you like to see what Bijan Robinson and Cordarrelle Patterson could do to the defense that gave up 189 rushing yards to James Conner and Michael Carter?
Perhaps a trip to New Orleans. Where Jalen Hurts is 2-0 against the Saints when they’ve started Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian at QB?

Unless a miracle happens at FedEx Field, the Eagles will be on the road against 1 of 3 contending opponents.

Getting Through MetLife

The Eagles are already locked into a playoff position, and will end the season as low as the 5th seed with the potential to finish 2nd or 3rd.

But this team couldn’t get a defensive stop against the Cardinals. They also managed to keep the Giants in a game when they had a 10 point lead at half-time. Morale is low and nothing is safe for the Eagles until the clock hits 00:00.

In the opening half of the Week 16 game against the Giants, the Eagles got to play against Tommy DeVito who went 9/16, 55 Yards 0TD, 0INT

For the 2nd half, Tyrod Taylor came in, and went 7/16, 133 Yards, 1TD, 1INT

Taylor is currently questionable for Week 18 so the Eagles might luck into seeing Tommy DeVito for several more quarters.

That won’t stop the Eagles from keeping them in the game as long as they did 2 weeks ago.
