After a Decade, EA Sports Is Bringing Back NCAA College Football.

If you miss sitting down after a long day of work and being able to set up a virtual video game Labor Day weekend matchup between powerhouse Alabama and local Delaware State University in NCAA Football — you are not alone.

And in case you were wondering if this scenario could ever play out in real life — it would be almost improbable, if not impossible.

It’s been a decade since EA Sports discontinued NCAA College Football amid a flurry of legal action about collegiate player likeness rights, image, and names.

After the game was discontinued, created video game lovers could utilize an option in the Madden series to create a player story mode where some universities appeared.

EA Sports’ John Madden Football was first released in 1988 for Apple II computers and became Madden Football in 1993. In 2006, Donovan McNabb was featured on the cover — a huge highlight for Philadelphia. During the mid-2000s, the Eagles were one of the best teams in the game.

In 2019 — Carson Wentz was on the cover.

Hey, you can’t win ’em all.

Back in fantasyland — Delaware State is up by 10 on Alabama with a minute left and possession. Should the Hornets take a knee?

Absolutely not.
