The first MLB All-Star voting update was released on Monday, and the Philadelphia Phillies are all over it.

The Phillies are the top team in the National League

in 2024 and have been for a long time now. It’s only right that the players are getting the recognition that they deserve.

Bryce Harper is leading all players in the NL in votes as of Monday and is only behind Yankees’ outfielders Aaron Judge and Juan Soto in total votes in all Major League Baseball.

As odd as it sounds, Harper has only been an All-Star once as a Phillie since he joined the club in 2019. He was selected as the starting designated hitter in 2022, but he was unable to play due to a thumb injury at the time. Barring an injury, Harper is on pace to be selected as the starting NL first baseman in this year’s Midsummer Classic.

Harper isn’t the only one leading his position in votes. Alec Bohm is leading all NL third basemen in votes with an impressive 745,111-vote lead over San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado.

J.T. Realmuto and Trea Turner have the second-most votes at their respective positions while Kyle Schwarber and Bryson Stott have the third-most votes at their positions. Outfielders Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos are No. 5 and No. 6 among NL outfielders. Johan Rojas was even at No. 7 before being sent down to Triple-A to make room for Turner returning from injury.

The All-Star voting consists of two phases, with Phase 1 concluding on June 27.

Phase 2 begins on June 30 and ends on July 3, when the starting rosters will be announced. The rest of the rosters will be announced on July 7.

A lot can happen between now and July 3, but it looks like the Phillies will have two starting All-Stars on the NL team with Harper and Bohm.

The rest of the Phillies’ candidates are within range of making the roster as reserves and could even end up making it as starters, depending on how the rest of the voting period plays out.

This Phillies could very well overtake Arlington, Texas, come July 16.
