The Eagles and Steelers Aren’t the Only Football Teams On the Upswing in PA.

If you’ve been a long-time Eagles fan — the name of LaVar Arrington probably doesn’t make you feel too good. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native was a 2x Second-Team All-Pro for the Washington Commanders and New York Giants between 2000–2006.

This week, the Penn State Nittany Lion football team got some exciting news with the commitment of Lavar’s son, LaVar Arrington II. Following in his father’s footsteps at Penn State, and a three-star recruit defensive end from Charter Oak High School in Covina, California and received offers from Colorado, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington.

Making the Most of An Opportunity

Penn State’s freshman running back duo is getting a lot of attention around Happy Valley. The two made a spash when they had a great outing during the annual spring Blue and White Game where starters Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen did not participate. True freshman Quinton Martin, Jr. had two rushing touchdowns and Cam Wallace had 36 yards on seven attempts and one reception for six yards.

Both are competing for the third running back spot on the team.
