The 120th Meeting of Michigan And Ohio State Had A Dramatic Finish.
Then, the Real Drama Began.
Remember when both the collegiate ranks and the NFL feared Chip Kelly’s dynamic offensive schemes that he designed with Oregon and the Eagles? On Saturday — just moments after the 120th meeting of Ohio State and Michigan ended in a 13–10 finish in favor of the Wolverines as Kelly’s Ohio State offense turned the ball over on downs after being stymied for most of the day by Michigan’s defense — the teams on the field turned not so friendly.
It’s not that we expected these two teams to be best of friends. But a pre-bowl selection brawl seemed ill-timed.

When Michigan players decided to emulate Baker Mayfield by planting their flag into the turf at the fifty-yard line just as he did when he was the quarterback at Oklahoma State after a victory lap around the stadium in a Sooners’ triumph, this time, the flag was not planted after the Ohio State Football team was already in the locker room.
This time, both teams were on the field.
Saturday was the 120th meeting of the Buckeyes and the Wolverines — who began the matchup at Michigan’s old football stadium — Regent Field in 1897. That day was a resounding 34–0 Michigan victory, and the Wolverines lead the series in the present day, 62–51–6.
After the just over four—minute melee—which included officials needing to use pepper spray—both teams were separated on the field, and Michigan’s flag was tossed around after another Wolverine player tried to plant it in the cold Ohio turf. Ohio State was previously ranked #2 before the loss.
The Buckeyes have former Downingtown West star Will Howard and Defensive Back Keenan Nelson, Jr. from St. Joe’s Prep.
