The Eagles will not be the only Philadelphia-area football team preparing for a 2026 campaign at Training Camp in the shadow of Philadelphia’s Semiquincentennial Celebration.

One difference, however , is that the 2026 Villanova Football Team will once again be preparing for the 2026 Campaign at Ocean City’s Carey Stadium.

Another big difference is that while the Eagles are looking to fix everything that went wrong at the end of the 2026 season , Villanova Football will look to build on one of the finest seasons in recent memory.

Despite a 2025 FCS semifinal Loss to Illinois last December,  the team completed one of the deepest runs by Villanova Football in years. Last year’s season ended in the FCS Playoff Semifinals with a 30–14 home loss to #2 Illinois. The Wildcats defeated Harvard and Lehigh in Rounds 1 and 2, respectively. In the quarterfinals, Villanova completed the comeback 26–21 against #4 Tarleton.

Some years before COVID-19, a tradition for Villanova football began that continues to this day—using the Ocean City High School Fields and facilities for training camp against the backdrop of the Jersey Shore, the cool breeze, and the towering Ferris wheel of Gillian’s Wonderland Pier.

The Wildcats will once again return to Carey Stadium in Ocean City this August, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Autograph Sessions are also scheduled on the Ocean City Music Pier, located on the OC Boardwalk
